EPIC Effort Gets Under Way in June

Sarasota Memorial’s 2022 EPIC (Employee Partners in Caring) Campaign kicks off June 1!

Co-chaired by Elizabeth Ackroyd of Revenue Cycle and Kelli Dancer of the Cancer Institute, the employee campaign will run for four weeks ending June 29.

Since 2003, employee support of the EPIC campaign has helped fund continuing education and instructive programs for staff, as well as equipment and technology upgrades that benefit patients and co-workers. Last year, more than 661 donors raised $185,000 for EPIC.

Donors to this year’s EPIC effort will be entered to win weekly prizes and receive fun EPIC swag!

Here’s a list of key events in June:

June 2: Ice Cream Social from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SMH Courtyard at the Sarasota Campus and in the Garden Cafe at SMH-Venice.

June 15: Celebrity Bartending Event from 5 to 8 p.m. at Michael’s Wine Cellar.

June 16 & 17: Nothing Bundt Cake sale, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 16 in the Garden Cafe at SMH-Venice and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 17 at Windows Cafe at the Sarasota campus.

June 22: EPIC Silent Auction (Items will be on display in Windows Cafeteria at the Sarasota campus from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., online bidding will open June 15; more details to come.
