Interested in Becoming a CNA? SMH Offering Free Classes

Do you want to move ahead in your Sarasota Memorial career? Get your CNA license in 2022!

SMH is offering employees the opportunity to be selected for free CNA classes through Suncoast Technical College.

Employees will be chosen to participate in the program based on their job performance, tenure and obtaining manager approval.

Here are the details:

• Six-week program (40 hours per week) involving paid class time and working shifts.
• Eight-month commitment to continue employment at SMH, or pay back tuition.
• HS Diploma/GED/Certificate of Completion required to attend class and receive promotion to PCT.
• Upon graduation, the employee will be required to obtain the required fingerprint background check at a cost of approximately $125, which will be reimbursed.
• SMH will pay for the cost of one CNA exam per employee.
• After obtaining CNA license, employee can apply for open PCT positions.
